Oshi Story

Oshi is a China-born, Europe-based artist whose abstract works explore the quiet tension between freedom and form. Rooted in a personal journey across cultures - from China to the UK, and now living in Andalucía, Spain - her art is a reflection of movement, memory, transformation and elevation.

Working primarily with suspended acrylic paint, mediums, and minimalist framing, Oshi creates flowing, tactile compositions that blur the line between painting and sculpture. Her practice is driven by a love exploring the possibilities between reality and imagination, Chinese traditional paintings and calligraphy - where each piece becomes a meditation on lightness, structure, and identity.

Through her studio practice at Studio Oshi, she presents works that feel both grounded and weightless - pieces that unbound paint from the canvas, and tradition from expectation. Her visual language is subtle yet powerful: sculptural layers, soft shadows, and open spaces that invite contemplation.
